US billionaire Elon Musk has criticized President Donald Trump's tax and spending bill, saying he "cannot stand" it and calling it "horrible and disgusting".
The bill, which passed the House of Representatives in May, includes trillions of dollars in tax cuts, increases defense spending, and allows the US government to borrow more.
The South African-born tech billionaire ended his tenure in the Trump administration on May 31. Trump said at the time that he "will always be with us, helping us every step of the way."
Musk tweeted on Tuesday that he was "shame on everyone who voted for it."
Musk left the Trump administration last week after a 129-day effort with his team, dubbed "Doge," to cut costs. It was Musk's first public criticism of Trump since leaving the administration, after previously describing the plan as "depressing."
